Final Cut

My final cut of the Animation, I am quite happy with the end result. Next time I would like to add even more depth to the images by way of transparent layers.

Reverse Clock Layer

Image
I added a 15% opacity clock footage as a background to the animation and set it to play in reverse.

Adobe and Audio

Image
I imported the frames in Adobe Premiere then exported it as a video. I find that its easier to work on the sound when the video isn't individual frames.

PNG frame export

Image
I exported the frames out of Toon Boom and the mask seemed to be gone.

Test 6

For some reason Toon Boom is adding a bunch of clear channel as a white background.

Time Hole

I started with the time hole as My Father passed away and I then did a serious injury to my back which the medication blurred my vision to the point of not being able to read or use a computer. So with time travel being the main focus I worked on that part first.

Heap of cut out images

Image
Many of these images haven't been used as I focused on the Time travel scene. But I am set up to get the opening scene done at a later point.

Storyboard

Image
Quick Storyboard for animation. Due to time constraints (My Father just passed, and I injured my back and was unable to focus on a screen) I have elected to focus on the time travel scene.

Spiral for Time tunnel

Image
The torn paper spiral on black paper, I had to use tape in a couple of places to hold it down. If I had a sheet of glass I would have used that like Terry Gilliam.

Rigging

Image
I think I got the rigging reasonable on the Danny Model. I watched a few YouTube tutorials to work out how this was done.

Toon Boom Shortcuts

Image
Toon Boom Shortcuts that I have been using Scale was very useful as Danny was getting smaller as he fell.

Time Spiral Test 2

So as to represent time more obviously I decided to add the numbers 1 -12. these numbers were gathered by taking photographs of number plates and letterboxes from around my neighborhood.

Test Time Spiral

My spiral is a torn out spiral in heavy white paper attached to a large black sheet of paper. Using Toon Boom Harmony the image is then set to rotate.

The Miracle of flight Terry Gilliam
